Educational Project Uttarakhand

As part of its annual institutional practice, the team of Manav Mandir Gurukul, under the pious blessings of Pujya Gurudev Acharya Shri Roopchandra Ji Maharaj and Sadhvi Kanak lata Ji Maharaj, undertook its annual field visit and community outreach programme in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand from 26 December 2025 to 29 December 2025 under the leadership of Sadhvi Samta Shree Ji. The visit covered existing Gurukul centres as well as newly identified outreach locations, in alignment with the organisation’s commitment to child welfare, quality education, and community development.

Nagaur Centre

The visit commenced with the Nagor Centre, where the team conducted a detailed inspection and interaction with the children and centre staff. As part of the annual support initiative, children were provided with stationery kits, woollen clothing, and shoes, addressing essential educational and seasonal needs.

Sadhvi Samta Shree Ji interacted personally with the children to understand their academic progress, achievements, aspirations, and challenges. Meetings were also held with teachers, parents, and community members to review the overall functioning of the centre. A recurring concern raised was the need for computer facilities for senior students, particularly to support digital and online education.

At the Peepaltad Centre, similar support interventions were undertaken, including the distribution of stationery kits, woollen clothing, and shoes. Detailed discussions were held with children, teachers, and parents to assess academic outcomes and operational challenges.

The need for computer and digital learning infrastructure for higher classes was again highlighted, with stakeholders emphasising its importance for improving educational access and exposure in the region.

Belkot Centre

The Belkot Centre visit focused on both academic review and community engagement. Children received essential educational and winter support materials, and interactions were held to understand their learning experiences and future aspirations.

Discussions with centre staff and parents reiterated the demand for digital education facilities, particularly for senior students. The inputs gathered at this centre further reinforced the need for integrating technology-based learning across Gurukul centres.

New Outreach Initiative 1
Baram Village

The visit to Baram village marked a significant expansion of Manav Mandir Gurukul’s outreach efforts. The team was warmly welcomed by the local community through cultural programmes organised by the children.

Baram village currently lacks formal educational infrastructure. The only educational initiative in the village, catering from pre-primary to Class VIII, is being run by The Astha Vision Academy. Recognising the importance of sustaining this effort, Manav Mandir Mission Trust committed monthly monetary assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of the centre. Additionally, two laptops were provided to strengthen digital learning facilities and improve educational quality.

New Outreach Initiative 2
Askote Village

In Askote village, the team engaged with children and community members to sensitise them on the importance of education and inform them about future academic and career opportunities.

Students demonstrating consistent academic performance were assured continued support in the form of stationery assistance, financial aid, and career counselling. To enhance learning opportunities, two laptops were provided to facilitate access to digital education.

New Outreach Initiative 3
Abhilasha IT Point (Abhilasha Samiti)

As part of the digital literacy initiative, eight laptops were distributed to Abhilasha IT Point, a centre dedicated to promoting digital literacy among children and youth from nearby areas. The initiative is run under Abhilasha Samiti, with management support provided by Seema Jagran Manch.

Manav Mandir Gurukul will provide technical support to ensure effective utilisation of the digital infrastructure and sustainability of the programme.

Local Schools
Vatsalyam Vidyasthali, Vin & Children Paradise School

To further strengthen educational infrastructure in the region, two laptops each were provided to the following schools located in Kanalicheena:

  • Vatsalyam Vidyasthali, Vin

These contributions aim to support digital learning and enhance the quality of education for students in these institutions.
