The Manav Mandir Gurukul, operating in the villages of Belkot, Nagaur, and Peepaltad in Pithoragarh district, Uttarakhand, is committed to supporting underprivileged children through academic guidance and material assistance. Leveraging local school infrastructure, community-appointed teachers mentor the students and conduct regular academic evaluations. In addition to academics, the Gurukul emphasizes holistic development by organizing cultural activities, sports events, and celebrations. Essential items such as clothing and stationery are provided to ensure the children’s basic needs are met, fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth.
As part of its mission, the Gurukul team, under the divine guidance of Pujya Gurudev Acharya Shri Roopchandra Ji Maharaj and led by Sadhvi Samta Shri, conducts annual visits to its centres. These visits strengthen the bond between the Gurukul and the local communities while providing opportunities to assess progress, celebrate achievements, and discuss areas of improvement.
Nagaur Centre
The Manav Mandir Gurukul team visited the Nagaur centre on November 27, 2024. The students, mentored by the Gurukul teachers, showcased their creativity and talents through captivating dances, melodious group songs, and heartfelt poems.
Special counselling sessions were conducted for students of classes 10 and 12, guiding them on career opportunities in Science, Commerce, and Arts streams, while encouraging them to explore their interests and aspirations. Local schoolteachers praised the Gurukul for its impact on the children’s academic and personal growth.
As a gesture of care, the children were gifted kits containing shoes and clothing, spreading joy and gratitude among them.
Peepaltad Centre
The Gurukul team visited the Peepaltad centre on November 28, 2024. Students presented a vibrant cultural program featuring soulful songs and heartfelt speeches, reflecting their growth and creativity under the Gurukul’s nurturing guidance.
Discussions with local teachers and community members focused on promoting higher education, reducing dropout rates, and ensuring equitable access to quality education for all children. The teachers acknowledged the Gurukul’s significant contributions to improving
students’ academic performance and fostering holistic development.

Belkot Centre
The visit to the Belkot centre took place on November 29, 2024. The students, guided by their teachers, performed vibrant cultural programs, including dances, songs, and speeches that highlighted their creative and academic progress.
A key discussion focused on collaborative efforts to improve Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) for weaker students and implement strategies to reduce dropout rates. Local schoolteachers commended the Gurukul for fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment
for learning.
