Gagan’s Story – Raised by Care, Driven by Hope
I came to Manav Mandir Gurukul when I was just four years old-too young to understand the world, but lucky enough to be held by the right hands. I grew up within these walls, but they never felt like walls. They felt like protection, like comfort, like a family folding itself around me. And at the centre of that family was Maji.
Everything I am today, every step of confidence, every achievement, every dream that I dare to dream, has its roots in this ashram. I did not grow up with wealth or privilege, but I grew up with something far more powerful: love, discipline, and belief. Maji saw my potential long before I could see it myself. She pushed me, scolded me, held me, guided me, and shaped me. She became the mother I never had, the strength I needed, and the reason I never gave up.
I am also deeply grateful to Pujya Gurudev Acharya Shri Roopchandra Ji Maharaj, whose vision and blessings shaped the very foundation of Manav Mandir Gurukul. His guidance has touched every life here, including mine.
As I grew older, life wasn’t easy. I had academic challenges, financial worries, expectations to meet, and a constant fear of not knowing what my future would look like. But every time I fell, I found the same hands lifting me back up the ashram’s support, my teachers’ guidance, and Maji’s unwavering faith.
The Manav Mandir Gurukul became my anchor, reminding me that I was never alone.
Today, I am a Data Scientist at NatWest after completing my MTech in Artificial Intelligence at Delhi Technological University. I realise that my journey is not mine alone. It belongs to every person in this ashram who shaped me. It belongs to every child here who looks at me and thinks, “If he can do it, maybe I can too.” It belongs to Maji, who proved that family is not defined by blood, but by love and sacrifice. It belongs equally to Gurudev Ji and Manav Mandir Gurukul, whose blessings made my path possible.
My story is not a story of struggle; it is a story of gratitude.
From a three-year-old child with nothing to a young adult chasing dreams with confidence… the distance I have travelled is filled with the blessings of Manav Mandir Gurukul. Whatever I become tomorrow will always be a reflection of what this ashram made me today.
And I hope that my journey inspires every child here to believe that no matter where you come from, your future is yours to create with courage, hard work, and the right guidance.
This ashram is my home. Maji is my strength. Gurudev Ji’s blessings are my foundation. And my success will always belong to them.

Harsh – Lighting the Path of Determination
Harsh Choudhary is pursuing his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Delhi Technological University, which he is set to complete in 2025. His educational journey has been closely supported by Maaji and Manav Mandir Gurukul, who have provided him with unwavering assistance.From funding his education and covering his living expenses to offering mentorship and moral encouragement, Gurukul has been instrumental in his growth. Their support has enabled him to focus on his studies and move forward with determination. Harsh’s journey is a powerful example of how perseverance, when combined with community support, can lead to meaningful achievements. He aspires to succeed in his chosen field and, in the future, extend the same selfless support to others in need.
Shikha’s Journey with Manav Mandir Gurukul
In 2008, a seven-year-old Shikha stepped into the fold of Manav Mandir Mission Trust. At that time, she was a quiet, shy, and underconfident child. What awaited her was not just an institution, but a family—a place that would nurture her, guide her, and lay the foundation of the person she was destined to become.
Her educational path began at Saraswati Bal Mandir School and later continued at Dyal Singh College. At every stage, she received not only academic support but also the values, discipline, and strength of character that the Trust so deeply instills in its children. Manav Mandir became the guiding force that helped Shikha blossom, shaping her confidence and preparing her to face life with courage.
Today, with the blessings of Acharya Roopchandra Maharaj Ji, Shikha is pursuing her B.Ed. at Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan—a significant milestone in her journey of growth and learning. She considers this achievement not just her own, but a collective triumph of every teacher, mentor, and well-wisher at Manav Mandir who believed in her when she could not believe in herself.
Shikha’s story is a testament to the transformative power of education and compassion. From a timid young girl to a strong, hopeful individual, she now carries forward the mission’s light—determined to spread the gift of knowledge and service to others, just as it was once given to her.
Yash – From Gurukul to Technology
Yash has been part of Manav Mandir Gurukul since 2009, a place that has provided him not only with shelter but also with values, discipline, and direction. He completed his schooling at GLT Saraswati Bal Mandir, Nehru Nagar, with outstanding results—scoring 93% in Class 10 and performing commendably in Class 12 with PCM and Computer Science. These achievements fueled his passion for technology and innovation. Currently, Yash is pursuing a BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) at JIMS College. With Gurukul’s mentorship and life lessons, he continues to aim higher and work harder toward his aspirations. His story reflects how a nurturing environment can transform potential into purposeful ambition.
Pankaj – Building a Future with Gratitude
Pankaj Kumar has been associated with Manav Mandir Gurukul since 2011. Over the years, Gurukul has provided him with education, healthcare, and shelter, for which he remain deeply grateful. He completed Class 10 with 81% and Class 12 with 73% from GLT Saraswati Bal Mandir. Currently, he is pursuing his undergraduate studies at Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi, while also enhancing his skills by learning Python programming. At 19 years of age, Pankaj is focused on preparing for the SSC CGL examination, aiming to build a strong career in government service. With Gurukul’s guidance and support, he is steadily working toward achieving his goals.
Mayank – A Journey of Perseverance and Possibility
Mayank is currently a first-year B.Tech student in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Delhi Technological University. His academic journey has been deeply supported by Manav Mandir Gurukul, which has played a pivotal role in shaping his achievements. Through mentorship, resources, and constant encouragement, Gurukul has guided him during challenges and kept him motivated toward his goals. Their support—both academic and moral—helped him remain focused and determined. Mayank’s story is a reflection of the power of perseverance and community support. With strong aspirations for the future, he is determined to excel in his field and contribute back to society, inspired by the support he has received from Gurukul.
Sambodh – From Modest Beginnings to New Horizons
Sambodh’s journey reflects resilience and transformation. Coming from a modest background, his life took a remarkable turn when he joined Manav Mandir Gurukul at the age of 16 while studying in Class 11 (Commerce stream). At Gurukul, he received not only academic support but also a nurturing environment that believed in his potential. With access to high-quality study materials, modern educational tools, and personalized tutoring, he was able to strengthen his academics. Under the mentorship of Samta Shree Ji Maharaj, he also explored art, sports, and public speaking, which helped him gain confidence and life skills. Today, Sambodh is pursuing B.Com (Hons.) at Satyawati College, University of Delhi. Gurukul has not only shaped his education but also inspired him to dream big and pursue his aspirations with confidence. His journey demonstrates how the right opportunities can unlock hidden potential.
